This recent cold snap here in Tennessee has got me thinking about all of you beautiful winter brides and how you are going to keep warm. I thought I would do a round up of beautiful looks I came across. All of these designs are from Amanda Wakeley but many other lines carry beautiful coats, boleros and shrugs to keep you nice and warm on your big day! If you can’t find one you like, think about commissioning a piece from a local designer like Olia Zavozina. A custom designer can incorporate your dress style so that your coat, bolero, or shrug coordinates perfectly with your dress.

This Amanda Wakeley coat is perfect for a formal wedding and the length is sure to keep you warm. The thin design will keep you feeling light and airy on your big day!

This silk mikado coat is a show stopper with its full train and delicate front bow closure. With longer coats you can get two totally different bridal looks.

This cropped ivory mink jacket will keep you warm and stunning. The short length of the sleeves and bodice keeps your hands free and still allows the beautiful details of your dress to be seen. If you are not interested in real fur, consider faux fur. Many companies are making faux fur that is so realistic, no one would ever know the difference.

Hope this post helps to keep you winter brides nice and warm! Are you wearing a bolero or coat? If so we would love to see what you picked for your big day. Please leave a comment below!

A wonderfully sweet reader named Hailey requested we do an inspiration board for her upcoming wedding.  Here is what she had in mind:

My colors are charcoal gray and light blue because we are using hydrangeas. It will be by the lake so very casual, romantic, and vintage/country. We are wearing cowboy boots under my the dresses and so are the guys. We will also be using mason jars with tea lights in them hanging from the trees.
Here is Hailey’s inspiration board!

Your wedding is one of the biggest days of your life. The images will last a lifetime so you want everything to be perfect. I found some beautiful hair ideas for you and hope that you enjoy!

Michelle Williams is known for her unique and effortless style and this image is no exception. I love the loose bun and waves. This hairstyle would look great with a large flower piece, a birdcage veil, even a long traditional veil.

This retro style donned by January Jones is timeless and beautiful. This style would be best if your hair holds curl well otherwise it could fall before the ceremony ends. I adore the tuck behind the ear on one side and this look would be great with a birdcage veil or along traditional veil.

This messy up-do would be perfect for an outdoor or even a beach wedding. This style is great for all types of hair. The rope braid across the top adds some texture while the back could be a curled ponytail or even a messy bun. This style doesn’t really need a whole lot of decoration so a birdcage veil or none at all would be best.

This low and loose take on a french twist is simple, easy, and gorgeous! This style would work on any hair type and would be beautiful with some big beautiful earrings and a birdcage veil or a long traditional veil too. I love that there are some pieces that frame the face. Some of us like a little of that!

I hope you all have found some ideas you like. How do you plan to wear you hair on your wedding day. Leave us a comment and let us know!

I found these images in my inbox this morning and literally almost fell out of my chair. These dresses are so ethereal, so beautiful, so effortless… Maria Lucia Hohan’s shop is located in Romania but you can buy online. I personally have never purchased on of these works of art but I would suggest ordering early to be sure the fit is correct. These would be perfect for your rehearsal dinner, wedding, a holiday party, or just as an update to your go-to little black dress.

You can shop Maria Lucia Hohan right here. Keep in mind the prices are in euros so you will have to do the conversion for pricing. Swoon away ladies, swoon away!
