Whew! It has been quite a busy week here in the studio. We have been decorating the studio for the holidays and meeting all kinds of kind people visiting for Tis The Season! With all this hustle and bustle I didn’t get a chance to post a Friday DIY for you beautiful brides. So here it is, on Saturday, A Pretty Twist on the Drink Umbrella!

The directions recomend using the doilies from Papermash but why not think outside the box and us any plain white doilie and then use one of your wedding colors on the card stock used underneath. That pop of color could be so pretty. Don’t forget you can spritz white doilies with diluted food coloring or tea to help them coordinate with your colors.

DIY large bow dress necklaceI found this tutorial a few months back and just remembered it today while trying to think of a DIY to share with you. This lovely flower is easy to make and would be so sweet on a sash as a belt to accessorize your wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, or even a flower girls headband. I can totally see this made in white fabric or lace with sparkly beads for the center. Glam it up or dress it down. These flowers are simple to make and there is no sewing machine required!

Check out the tutorial over on Grosgrain! If you make one and love it, be sure to send us a photo of you and your pretty flower. Feel free to leave a comment. We love to hear from our readers!

Bunting has been every where for the last year or so. It is so cute, chic, and really really easy. There are several ways to do it. One way is obviously with fabric but if you don’t have access to a sewing machine I would not suggest this option. It can be very time consuming and fabric can be expensive depending on how much bunting you need. I found this great tutorial over on MyWeddingDay and thought I would share it with you! They used scrapbook paper and ribbon both of which are really budget friendly!

Brides are always concerned with their guests being bored.  Well, not if you provide a means of entertainment for them.  I saw this post on #WeddingWednesday via Twitter and could not wait to share it with our readers!  What a fantastic DIY idea!

Have games for your guests to play!  What a great way to pass the time while your guests wait on you to arrive to the reception or for those who don’t want to dance. 🙂 It might even be a great addition to your rehearsal dinner.  Either way, you and your guests will always remember the experience and the celebration of your wedding.
